Featured heroes include Wilma Dykeman, the savior of the French Broad River, the Dead Pigeon River Council who fought against Champion Paper’s destruction of the Pigeon River and Marjory Stoneman Douglas who led the fight to reclaim the Everglades against efforts to drain and pollute it.
