Shake Off the Blues with Colt Creek Bluegrass Band
(A Livestream Event)
Friday, May 22- 7:30 PM
Many of our elders had difficult lives, but when the day was over, the front porch became the stage for community gatherings, music, great food and more. Although we can’t gather like we’d like at the moment, we can in spirit. Join us for this livestream event where YOU DECIDE how much the Center for Cultural Preservation’s work means to you! The concert will help support the launching of the Center’s How They Overcame initiative that will capture the stories of elders from the Western North Carolina region who have overcome crises such as the Great Floods, the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic and the Great Depression AND the Center’s Moonshining in the Mountains film.
