Partial Transcript: Marjory Stoneman Douglas and her impact and everything that she's started, it's just a real inspiration for people, especially my age, just to show you could be any age to just fight for what you believe in. Just her impact and everything that she's started, it's actually made me want to start things of my own and fight for what I believe in.

Partial Transcript: Just the idea that Marjory Stoneman Douglas believed that everything was interconnected through the Everglades really resonates with me just because I know people all over and even if we believe in different things different ages it doesn't really matter just because the Everglades has such an impact just because of
we're so close to it.

Partial Transcript: I think just being named after her has really encouraged students to be more persistent in what they believe in just because she was such a big inspiration. She was a lady who could do anything she believed in. I think that really helped in students’ trying to further their own message as well as her message.

Partial Transcript: I think that just because she left such a lasting impact on our local community, that it encouraged us to try to leave our own impacts on not only the community, but the world. You know, because everyone has their own thoughts and opinions on things.

Partial Transcript: She's made such a big impact on not only my school, but other environmentalists throughout Florida, throughout the nation, throughout the world. And from me being an environmentalist, she has truly inspired me to try to get all of my views out there and try to fight for what I believe in. And I think that's really helped in my own fight.
